Thirty MLF pros hit the Upper Mississippi River this morning for the Shotgun Round of REDCREST Presented by Venmo, but only three were able to catch more than 60 pounds of bass

Stephen Browning had qualified for a couple of Bassmaster Classics in recent years by winning Central Open events, but it had been quite some time since he\’d made a championship derby via the Angler of the Year points list – 2011, to be exact.

Out of the 30 MLF pros who qualified for the inaugural REDCREST, 10 of them started the 2019 season having never competed in an MLF event. Stephen Browning is one of the pros who heard their MLF official say, “Lines in!” and “SCORETRACKER® update” for the first time on Lake Toho at Stage One of the Bass Pro Tour.
